When it comes to capturing emotion there are no formulas

Inspired by early punk and new wave, through the massive soundscapes of the late 80s, to industrial and alt 90s, there wasn’t a time when Atom wasn’t tuned-in to music. His 25+ year career started with engineering Faith No More’s “Album of the Year.” Atom later found a kinship with fellow producer Nick Launay leading to collaborations on albums for Arcade Fire, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Supergrass, The Cribs, and Refused. His recent productions have earned accolades including a 2019 Mercury Prize shortlist for IDLES “Joy as an Act of Resistance” and a 2020 Grammy nomination for best engineered album with Thomas Dybdal’s “All These Things.” Atom’s second stint with IDLES scored a UK #1 album with “ULTRA MONO.” Recent projects include albums by gogol bordello and australian #1 album “capital fiction” by KELI holiday.

I work closely with artists to distill a sound and style that’s truly their own while challenging them to push their boundaries further. My focus is on how the music makes you feel and just as importantly, how it makes you move. When it comes to capturing emotion there are no formulas.
